Have you already seen Mr. Queen? This controversial K-Drama that runs from December 2020 to February this year put its actors on arousing.

Mr. Queen is a historical-comedy drama about a modern-day chef, Jang Bong Hwan whose soul was unexplainably transferred and got swapped into the body of a Queen (Shin Hae Sun) in the Joseon era. This chaotic plot was one of the main reasons why its supporters are hooked and in love with the drama.
With its unique storyline, explicit punch-lines, perfect casting, and breathtaking settings we're only a few trademarks I can disclose to detail how stunning this masterpiece is.
But after its success in both Korea and worldwide, its production was forced to stop and probably can say "deleted" from all broadcasting sites and channels due to alleged history distortion.
It undeniably impacts all its fans around the world, most especially those who find the drama, not just a drama but a healing and comfort pace during this pandemic.
On Saturday, August 14, was which marked the 6th month since it ended, both international and local fans of the drama issued an appeal to its broadcasting network TVN demanding the restoration of the drama.

Given its highest viewers rate which makes it the top 5 grossing drama of the said network, is still a talk because of the injustice treatment to both the casts and staff.
Recently, Seoul International Drama Awards 2021 for Outstanding Korean Drama Prize Online, publicize the final list of the nominated dramas, OST, Best Actors, and Actress for fan voting thru an application.
Surprisingly, Mr. Queen and both lead actors Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hae Sun aren't included on the said lists, which makes their fans even more furious.
They expressed their disappointment to the broadcasting network by calling them out on every post they made. (Perfect example are these attached images)
But what exactly happened 6 months ago? Before and after this drama soar high?
How is Joseon Gumasa related to Mr. Queen and sadly received late backlash?
On March 22nd of the present year, another historical drama was released. Titled Joseon Exorcist (조선구마사)

which was also written by the first writer of Mr. Queen, Park Kye-Ok.
The plot synopsis was about Prince Lee Bang-Won (Park Sung-Hoon) of Joseon roved the northern region, he faced an evil spirit that wanted to oppress human beings. Prince Lee Bang-Won was able to isolate the evil spirit.
The series was dragged off the air after just two episodes after viewers protest for historical inaccuracies.
Korean netizens claim that the drama "Mr. Queen" was paradoxical and was said to be altered by an author who has made negative remarks about South Korea. Some netizens accuse the drama of distorting history.

Both lead actors suffered from controversies and unwanted backlash after few months which lead to almost canceling them in Korea such as Shin Hae Sun lost her brand endorsements overnight while Kim Jung Hyun faced a conflict with his former agency (his agency at that time) coz he's now a free agent.
Up to this day, Kim has been quiet knowing his health condition and previous controversies.
Meanwhile, Shin is filming her first horror-thriller movie "Open the door" which has been said to be released by 2022.
Share with us your thoughts about this. As we don't see any possible error about this drama, even more, troubled us thinking about if it really deserves to be deleted.
